APRIL AND MAY DIVING AT THE YELLOW HOUSE
Want to move your diving up a notch? Want to learn to use a drysuit? Improve Buoyancy? Want to learn to take photos while you dive? Want to understand and use gas blends to extend your diving, to allow for deeper dives? Want to be part of the ELITE in the diving world? Join the ranks of Technical Divers! Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures is the first major step into Technical Diving. Want to do any or all of this and have use of the Yellow House??? Check out our specials!!!
ADVANCED NITROX/DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES
On April 23-24 we will be hosting an Advanced Nitrox/Decompression weekend! Enjoy the comforts of the Yellow House while getting some great diving experience. This dual course consists of SIX dives, down to 150’ using doubles and a stage cylinder for decompression. You will learn how to deploy lift bags, conduct valve shutdown drills and establish GREAT buoyancy characteristics. Graduates of this class are able to manage high-test Nitrox (40% plus) including pure oxygen responsibly paying attention to special equipment and component requirements, handling considerations and cylinder markings. You will leave this class with the basic understanding of staged decompression practice (ascent behavior) and decompression theory, understanding the concept and constraints of staged decompression obligation; the use of multiple gases to optimize a decompression schedule.
Cost for this combination course is $700.
TRIMIX WEEKEND
The next step in your Technical Diving is Trimix. On May 7-8 we will be offering a Trimix weekend! This is the first course using a Helium mixture. Once you have successfully passed the Advanced Nitrox/Deco class you are eligible to move onto Trimix. We are offering them back to back so you can get the education in succession, the logic of one class adds to the learning of the next, then having the summer to utilize your newfound skills! In Trimix the dives are down to 200’ using 2 stage bottles. Graduates are able to make dives requiring long decompression stops and needing expedition quality contingency plans. You will become comfortable making advanced equipment selection and know how to configure and manage additional gear to function well on long dives. Upon completion you will fully understand water behaviors dictated by use of helium in breathing mixes, will be competent using complex gas management calculations and have the ability to create, manage and modify complex decompression schedules and apply them as appropriate to the dive conditions. This class consists of 4 dives over the two days.
We are offering the Yellow House for the Trimix weekend so all you have to do is focus on diving and learning. There isn’t a better way to learn and not a better place to do it. All the comforts of home with the advantage of diving just out the front door!!
Cost of the Trimix weekend is just $900 and includes all your gases, including Helium!
